The course will cover challenges and solutions in education from a leader’s perspective. Inspiring women in education to take on leadership roles and own their leadership at all levels. This course is aimed at women who work in education.
Key note speaker 1
Professor Dame Alison Peacock – Chartered College of Teaching Chief Executive. Prior to joining the Chartered College she was Executive Headteacher of The Wroxham School in Potters Bar. Her career to date has spanned primary, secondary and advisory roles. She is a member of the Royal Society Education Committee, a peer member of the Teaching Schools Council and a trustee of both the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors and of Teach First. In March 2015, Alison was appointed by the Department for Education as a member of the commission on assessment without levels and she is author of Assessment for Learning without Limits.
Key note speaker 2
Gail Emms MBE – Olympic Silver medallist is now a motivational speaker and Olympic speaker using her experiences across years of success on the court to inspire people to attain their goals. She achieved silver at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games with her mixed doubles partner. She claimed World Championships gold in 2006, consecutive Commonwealth titles and back-to-back European Championships, she dominated the sport throughout the early 2000s.
There will also be workshops for 45 minutes after the second key note.
